About This Space

Treballu is rooted in Laconi and built on the Associazione Culturale Giovani Iddocca, active since 2011. It started as a small two-bedroom house and grew from 2019 into a creative hub through friendships, shared ideas, and small projects, and Laconi was recognized as a European Startup Village by the EU's Joint Research Centre in 2025. It sits in the historic heart of the village, near the Aymerich Palace (now the Menhir Museum) and a short walk from one of Sardinia's largest urban parks.

What This Place Offers

The Community 🤙

We're the first rural coliving and coworking hub in Sardinia, set in a century-old village house in the historic heart of Laconi, right beside the Aymerich Palace and the island's largest urban park. We're a small group — usually no more than ten of us — of digital nomads and creatives from all over the world who share both a workspace and everyday village life. We cook and eat dinner together most evenings, rotating tasks and splitting grocery costs, and fill our afternoons with workshops, walks, and talks that people propose themselves. Living here means being woven into the streets and relationships of the village, not just passing through.

Coworking Space 💻

We work from open-plan coworking areas inside our 150 sqm restored house, which opens onto a large courtyard, and the fast Wi-Fi is included in every stay. When we want a change of scene, some of us set up in spaces around the village or on a park bench in the green just minutes away. It's a relaxed, informal setup rather than a corporate office — desks and shared tables in a cosy hundred-year-old building. The emphasis is on working alongside other remote workers and creatives and sharing the day together.

We're a small rural community in the village of Laconi in central Sardinia, focused on actually inhabiting the place — its streets, its relationships, its open questions — rather than passing through as tourists. We share a coworking space and an equipped kitchen in the historic center, cook and eat together, and take part in village life and creative projects. We grew out of welcoming international residents and building things together over the years.
